FAQ

Everything you need to know about 320kbps audio quality, Rekordbox masters, fake lossless detection, and artist rights compliance.

01Is DJWavPool legal?

Yes. DJWavPool only serves two kinds of tracks: those whose artist enabled downloads on SoundCloud (through the official API), and those the artist gave to the DJWavPool record pool with recorded consent. Other tracks are shown with links to buy them.

02What quality will I get?

The real quality of the source file, measured and shown before you download. Record pool masters are often WAV, AIFF or 24-bit FLAC. If converting to a heavier format adds nothing, DJWavPool tells you.

03Why not just convert SoundCloud to WAV?

A SoundCloud stream is compressed (128 kbps MP3 or 256 kbps AAC). Converting it to WAV gives a file ten times larger but no better: the cut-off highs do not come back. DJWavPool detects these "fake lossless" files.

04How much does DJWavPool cost?

Free for 10 MP3 downloads a day. The DJ plan is $6 a month (lossless, playlist packs) and DJ Pro is $12 a month (exclusives). Yearly billing gives two months free.

05Does it work with Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and VirtualDJ?

Yes. Files carry BPM, Camelot key and clean tags, and playlist packs include an M3U8 playlist to import into these apps.

06Can I listen before downloading?

Yes, every cleared track has a 30-second preview. It does not count toward your quota.

07I am an artist. How do I share my tracks?

Sign in with SoundCloud in the Artist area, upload your masters and choose what you share. It is free, you see your download stats and you can withdraw a track at any time.

08What about SoundCloud Go+ tracks?

DJWavPool does not bypass SoundCloud Go+ protection. With a Go+ subscription you can stream those tracks inside Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor or VirtualDJ.
